Ben Kaplan

Education Administrator, YIVO Institute for Jewish Research

Ben Kaplan runs the education programs at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, which contains the world’s largest archive of historical materials from Ashkenazi Jewish civilization— over 23 million documents! —from Europe, America, and around the globe.  Ben studied literature and theater at Williams College, and was a Kathryn Davis Fellow for Peace at Middlebury’s School of Hebrew. He has taught Hebrew and Jewish Studies with Stephen Wise Free Synagogue and around New York City for many years. Besides writing and learning languages, his other great passion is singing, and he studies operatic voice with opera trainer Jack LiVigni.
